Summer roundup

I am so behind on this blog! We are still here, still busy, and I will attempt to do better going forward. There's been so much going on this post will just be an attempt to hit the highlights.

Katy came over this summer and we had a fantastic time. A lot of Minecraft was played. A lot of driving around was done - especially for them, with trips to Utah and Florida mixed in with their time in California. We had so much fun. And I didn't take the camera anywhere with me until our next to last trip, when we went to the Mission in San Juan Capistrano.

So here, in no particular order, are some of the things we did this summer.

We went shopping;

went rock pooling; 

walked the pier;

panned for gold in San Diego; 

proved our carnivore credentials at the fair; 

saw the space shuttle; 

stayed all day at Disneyland and exhausted ourselves;

got haircuts; 

watched a Civil War battle; 

ate smores on the beach; 

and generally had a fabulous time with cousins!
