League Champions!

Adam's last football/soccer game was on Saturday. The last day of stroke clinic was on Friday, and the last football game was Saturday, and I have been so, so looking forward to a less busy schedule.... EXCEPT....they won! Adam's team won the league championship! How amazing is that?!

Adam was one of the younger and more inexperienced players on this team, and it showed. However, he improved a lot over this season. He had some great plays in their championship game. He used to just hover around where the action was, now he gets in there, he tackles, he gets the ball off the other team and he makes himself useful. Most importantly, he loves to play and has had a great time playing on this team.

So now we get to carry on (sob, sob) and play the other U-10 league champions in our region. I had no idea  that this could even happen! So we are soldiering on for a few more weeks, and it will be great experience for Adam. Even if my lovely lazy Tuesdays and Thursdays that I have been so looking forward to will have to wait a while longer....

The trophies were handed out right after the game. Just look at the size of that thing! He is so, so proud of it. And we are proud of him!
