Ever since we moved in to this house, anytime anyone went out in the garage for anything, when they came back in there was a trail of dusty footprints on the wood floor. For the first year, before we had a back lawn and it was just sandy dirt out there, it happened every time anyone went out back too. So dusty footprints have been the bane of my life for the last two years, and on the day that Jeff did the garage floor I took a picture of the very last one to celebrate that I would never see them again!
It looked this clean and amazing for all of a couple of weeks. The old sofa and the old game system got put out in the garage, and the kids were loving having a game room. Nicholas practically lived out there!
But it didn't last... because then the contents of the 3rd car garage got loaded into the main garage. Construction of Jeff's man palace is well under way! The back roll up garage door has been changed into a wall and a normal back door. It's being drywalled. It will get new cabinets. It's getting a new window in one wall - not replacing an old window, putting a window where there wasn't one before. There's going to be a vacuum system in the walls, for goodness' sake. By the time he's finished it will look nothing like the dark, dirty cave full of nasty rusty old things that it was!
