Middle School Promotion

On the morning of Adam's middle school promotion, he and I both agreed that it was a totally pointless activity, and far too much fuss for leaving middle school - let's face it, you pretty much have to leave middle school on time! There's not so many other options.... and then we both went and proceeded to totally enjoy ourselves!

Adam had so much bling on his gown that he jangled as he walked. He had two 4.0 pins, several student of the month pins, a couple of other pins that he had forgotten how he earned them, a medal for orchestra, and two medals as awards for being a particular teacher's best student - in music and science. He was pretty proud of himself!

And with that, middle school is done and he is on to high school. A weird and wonderful place where the homework starts before you even get there (summer reading) and where you can get a PE credit for being in the marching band (this makes me die laughing) and so we are happily ignoring all the 9th grade summer athletic camps that everyone else is already busy doing!

It will be interesting to see what the next four years bring!

That's awesome, gotta love all the graduations held in America! Isaac is finishing with junior school in the next few weeks then he's heading to high school next year :S I still think it seems so young sending my 11 year old to high school, but that's the UK system for you. I'll have to send you a pic of Isaac in his high school uniform! Be glad you don't have to fork out for uniforms there, so expensive! We so need to chat sometime! Miss you lots! xx
