Easter Egg hunt!

Every year on the Saturday right before Easter we do an Easter Egg hunt for the kids on the green outside our house.
This year's crew
We make it pretty easy for the little ones, with eggs just lying out all over the lawn.

Some kids do not manage to get through the whole hunt before stopping to eat sweets.

He knows he's busted.
The big kids know that they are not allowed to get the eggs that are on the lawn; they actually have to find theirs. And we put them in some interesting places!

As they get older we are getting a little more adventurous with where we put them!

And inevitably, it's the ones that you think are obvious that nobody can spot. We usually find eggs that have been missed up to a couple of weeks later!

In our Easter egg hunts, we make sure we count how many eggs we hide, and the hunt isn't over until we count all the eggs back in again.

This looks really fun. We still do hunts for our teens. I tried to get super creative so they'd have a challenge. Last week (it's June as I'm posting) a purple egg showed up on my lawn. I think the gardner found it when he was trimming our tall hedge. We always forget at least one. :)
