Art for art's sake

One of our best surprises this Christmas came from one of Jeff's team at work. She gave him (us! who are we kidding, this wasn't for Jeff!) chalk paint markers. After we had tested that they truly did wipe off we handed them to the kids and told them to have at it.

Ellie painted a nativity scene, complete with three wise men, a shepherd, a sheep and a cow (or donkey. I'm not quite sure).

Kate drew a lot of pictures. And then she got quite anxious that we wouldn't know which ones were hers so she went around them all and sectioned them off and wrote her name so that we would always know.

Nicholas drew a great Santa and reindeer (check out the antlers!)

but my favourite is this picture of Santa at the North Pole.

Adam didn't draw anything. He was probably buried in a screen somewhere.

So there you have it! It will be quite a wrench to clean this window. A big thanks to Sundina and the Crafty Croc liquid chalk markers. We have had great fun with them this Christmas!
