Saturday was D-Day for the kitchen. Jeff absolutely couldn't hold out any longer (even though I am hosting book club on Tuesday and would have preferred to still have a kitchen counter at that point). So after Adam's football game it was time-up for the old kitchen. First the overhead cabinet came down:
Then he got the sledgehammer out, which means we are really in business.
The first strike:
Having too much fun:
At the end of day one the counter is gone, the overheads on one side are gone, and the fridge is in its new position. He has identified four components of a functional kitchen - fridge, sink, oven, and dishwasher - and promised that at all times three out of the four will be working.Right now, the dishwasher is out of action and I actually had to do a load of dishes in the sink. Horrors. Hopefully that won't last too long because that will diminish my support for this latest project very very quickly!

Best of luck with the new adventure. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
